K94KIDS has started fostering dogs from the San Martin Animal Shelter. We work with the dogs to help them find their forever home, until then we will work with the dogs doing some basic obedience training and using them in the K94KIDS class. When the foster dogs are adopted, we offer training sessions to help continue the dog’s training with their new owner.
Our Program runs primarily on donations, more donations would help us continue our foster program.
Current Foster Dogs
Thor was the first dog we fostered and our first success story. Thor was a malnourished cane corso mix we fostered from the San Martin Animal Shelter, we were able to get him good quality food to make him healthy. We also put hours of training into him and will continue to work on his training with his new owners.
Max is a German Shepherd we fostered, he has a sweet temperament and can get excited too, he is also a little timid around other dogs and loud noises. We had him for a couple of weeks and worked on his obedience, he has found his home and will continue his training with his new family.
Regan is another german shepherd mix we fostered, he is very energetic and has lots of energy. He was going to be euthanized just because he was at a shelter for too long. For the past month we worked on his obedience and socialized him with people. He is a loving dog that just wanted a person and he has found his forever home.
King is a German Shepherd that that we fostered from the San Martin Animal Shelter. He’s really mellow and friendly, loves attention and being right next to you. He helped us start our Special Needs Program. We were able to work on his obedience and socialized him in training classes. He is now in his forever home.
Blue is a Siberian husky we are fostering from the San Martin Animal Shelter. He has a sweet and mellow temperament for a husky. He enjoys attention and walking around the yard. We were able to work on his basic obedience and socialize him before he got adopted. His new owners will continue his training and will continue to bring him to our training classes.
Kyra is a Belgian Malinois German Shepherd mix we fostered from the San Martin Animal Shelter. Founder Robert Yurosko actually did a 5 week board and train with Kyra about a year ago. We decided to foster her to give her more advanced training; she knows the basic sit, down, stay. She is super sweet, very smart, and has a lot of energy. She found her forever home with a man who will give her lots of attention and continue her training.
Shasta is a Samoyed that a couple of regulars who come to our dog training event found running in the streets of South San Jose. We fostered him after he was brought to the shelter, gave him a bath and have started working on his obedience training. He is very smart, very energetic, and very sweet. He’s a very vocal dog that needs a bit of work but otherwise is a very sweet and loving dog. He has adopted by a Samoyed rescue and is currently with his new foster owner. She will continue working with him on his obedience and will eventually adopt him.
